Bounty Escapesby BountyDesk Africa

Bounty Verified

How verification works

A badge is only worth something if it is hard to get. A property carries Bounty Verified only after our team has completed and signed off every item below.

Identity verified

We confirm who we are dealing with using government-issued identification.

Ownership or management authority

Title, lease or a written management mandate — we do not list properties someone has no right to let.

Property physically verified

The property is visited by our team or independently verified by someone we trust.

Photographs match

Every published image is checked against the actual property. No stock photography, no borrowed images.

Amenities checked

Pool, generator, backup water, Wi-Fi, air conditioning — confirmed present and working, not just claimed.

Exact location confirmed

We record the true address and coordinates, and share the exact address with guests once a booking is confirmed.

Safety reviewed

Access, security arrangements, and emergency contacts are reviewed.

Licensing checked

Where a Tourism Regulatory Authority licence applies, we ask for it and record it.

Pricing confirmed

Rates, seasonal pricing and minimum stays are agreed in writing so quotes are accurate.

Cancellation terms confirmed

The property's own cancellation rules are recorded and shown to guests before booking.

Maximum occupancy confirmed

We verify how many people the house genuinely sleeps.

Staff and services confirmed

Chef, housekeeping, house manager and security are confirmed with the owner.

Payment recipient confirmed

We confirm who is entitled to receive payment, so guests are never misdirected.

Emergency contact confirmed

A reachable contact for the duration of every stay.

If you own a property

This list is doing work for you, not to you

Every item above is a question a serious guest would eventually ask — about who really owns the house, whether the pool actually works, how many people it genuinely sleeps. We answer them once, in person, before your property is ever advertised.

The result is that guests arrive already trusting the house. You are not defending your listing against someone who has been burned by a fake one somewhere else, because we refuse to publish the properties that create that suspicion in the first place.

It also protects you from the other direction. Your exact address is never public. Your rates, cancellation terms, occupancy limits and the person entitled to receive payment are all recorded in writing before a single enquiry reaches you — so nobody can misrepresent your house, and no guest can claim they were told something different.

What the badge does not mean

Verification confirms that a property is real, correctly represented and let by someone entitled to let it. It is not a star rating, an inspection certificate, or a guarantee about matters outside our control such as weather, power supply or third-party services.

Properties still in review

A property that has not completed verification is not published. We would rather show you fewer homes than pass off unverified ones as checked.
