Diani

A twenty-kilometre stretch of powder-white beach south of Mombasa, backed by coral rag forest and colobus monkeys. Diani suits big groups who want a beach house with staff, a pool, and somewhere to walk to at sunset.
Watamu
Marine park calm, Swahili architecture
Quieter than Diani and built around a protected marine park. Watamu is turquoise coves, coral gardens and low-slung makuti-roofed houses — a favourite for families and small wedding parties.
Naivasha
Lakeside escapes, ninety minutes from Nairobi
Close enough for a Friday-evening drive, far enough to feel away. Fever trees, hippos on the lake, and a strong supply of private houses built for weekend groups and corporate retreats.
